Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy
At Ecoserve Cleaning Ltd, we are fully committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, contractors, clients, members of the public, and all others who may be affected by our operations. We believe that effective health and safety management is not only a legal duty but a moral and professional obligation that underpins our reputation and service quality.
We operate in full compliance with all relevant UK health and safety legislation, including but not limited to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, along with all other applicable regulations. Our management team is fully aware of its statutory responsibilities and is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our work are carried out safely and without undue risk to health.
Ecoserve Cleaning Ltd will take all reasonably practicable steps to fulfil its legal, moral, and financial duties regarding the health, safety, and welfare of its workforce. We will identify and assess significant risks in the workplace and implement suitable and sufficient control measures to manage those risks effectively. Appropriate and well-maintained equipment will be provided, and safe systems of work will be designed, implemented, and reviewed regularly to ensure ongoing suitability.
We recognise that health and safety is an evolving area and are committed to achieving continuous improvement in our performance. We will monitor our practices, learn from incidents, adopt innovations, and strive to reduce risks through proactive and preventative strategies.
All employees and contractors are expected to take personal responsibility for their own safety and for the safety of others who may be affected by their actions. Everyone working on behalf of Ecoserve Cleaning Ltd will be made aware of their responsibilities under this policy. We will actively encourage participation and consultation, ensuring that all employees have the opportunity to raise health and safety concerns directly or through elected representatives.
Where necessary, Ecoserve Cleaning Ltd will provide or arrange suitable training for both management and frontline operatives. This will include initial training, refresher sessions, and specific instruction when new processes, substances, or equipment are introduced. We will also seek competent external advice where needed to ensure that our policies, working practices, and equipment remain aligned with current legislation and best practice.
The ultimate responsibility for health and safety rests with the Managing Director, who holds this duty as a core leadership function equal in importance to any other business responsibility. The Managing Director will ensure that appropriate resources are allocated to health and safety and that a strong culture of safety is maintained across all areas of operation.
This Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if significant changes occur in our operations, legislation, or organisational structure. All matters relating to this policy, including monitoring and enforcement, fall under the direct responsibility of the Managing Director.
