reopening-after-lockdown

Getting ready to reopen your business

The Prime Minister has announced the government’s roadmap to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions in England. The vaccine deployment programme continues successfully, evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths in those vaccinated. Supported by the increased protection offered by the vaccines, the government is able to slowly and cautiously begin to ease restrictions in all areas across England at the same time, guided at all stages by data, not dates.

The roadmap, which has now been published on gov.uk, outlines four steps for easing restrictions. Before proceeding to the next step, the Government will examine the data to assess the impact of previous steps. From 12th April 2021. All non-essential retail premises, outlets, hairdressers, public buildings, such as libraries and community centres, will start reopening.

All the above can open their doors again provided they follow the guidelines set out by the government. As long as your business has put measures in place to become COVID-19 Secure you can start trading from Monday 12 April.

We recognise that businesses have had a tough time and are keen to reopen as soon as possible. The last thing we want is for you to have to close your business again because you have not put the right measures in place.
